Jake was born with music in his heart, and began playing the drums. at the age of six. Growing up he studied under Dom Famularo and John Favicchia.

Jake attended The University of the Arts in Philadelphia (UArts) as a Music Performance major.  He was fortunate to study under Marc Dicciani, Jimmy Paxson (Ben Harper, Stevie Nicks, and Natalie Maines), Gerry Brown (Stevie Wonder and Diana Ross), Marcus Baylor (Yellowjackets), and Erik Johnson.  Jake graduated from University of the Arts in May 2013 with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Music Performance. He was awarded the prestigious Paul D. Patterson Drum Set Award.

Jake would live out his passion and pursue music full time. Jake relocated from his hometown in New York to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue playing drums. Jake started drumming in the honky tonk scene on Broadway in downtown Nashville. Shortly after, he met singer-songwriter /artist by the name of Luke Combs. Jake became Luke Combs touring drummer in 2015. Over the course of Jake’s time touring with Combs, Jake has made appearances on The Grammys, Saturday Night Live, The Today Show, The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel Live, Good Morning America, CMA Awards, ACM Awards, CMT Awards, and the IHeart Awards.

Some of Jake’s largest endorsement deals include Craviotto Drums, Sabian Cymbals, Promark Drumstikcks, DW Pedals and Hardware, and Evans Drumheads.

When Jake is not on the road he’s teaching in person and remote drum lessons to students across the country. Jake also, does recording sessions in studio and remote.

In the past year Jake has been nominated for Country Drummer of the Year in the 2022 Drumeo Awards and Country/Americana Drummer of the Year in Modern Drummer’s 2023 Reader’s Poll. With a break between the Australian and European leg of the “Luke Combs World Tour”, Jake is headed to Canada to film with Drumeo.
